Warner looks to make more Batman titles
Just because Rocksteady are done with Batman, it doesn’t mean Warner Bros are hanging up the cape and cowl.
Arkham Knight came out back in June and continues to get new DLC.
This year saw the end of one of the most successful video game series in recent times. The publisher isn’t sharing details of what lies in the character’s future when it comes to games, but the Arkham series certainly won’t be the last. He notes that Batman is a cornerstone of WB Games, but that isn’t the only character they will focus on.
The PC version still has to get any DLC since it is still coming off a long hiatus following from the game’s serious issues which PC players report include game crashes and slow frame rates, among other issues given.
“The company’s overarching approach to Batman video games is to make sure that the “core essence” of the franchise is embodied in every new game”.
Warner Bros. believes the Batman franchise has “endless possibilities” when asked about future games on Playstation Blog. “
We don’t have anything to talk about at this time, but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman”,
he adds. From there, Warner Bros.
If Warner Bros. were to leave the caped crusader behind, what they would focus on would be directed by what fans want to see. Schumacher had planned to make “Batman Triumphant” and why not have that undeveloped movie be turned into a video game? No doubt DC fans can expect a few video games during these periods, be it in the form of straight adaptations of the films themselves or entirely new projects.
