Cheryl Fernandez-Versini hits back at body image critics and brands being
This is the hilarious moment Boris Johnson and X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini met at this week’s Pride of Britain Awards.
On being dumped from The X-Factor (US) by Simon Cowell…
She said: “It’s insane double standards. Something has to be done, changed, even if it’s done in law”.
In the new issue of InStyle magazine, the X Factor judge shared her thoughts on bodyshaming and the fact she’s been told to put on weight after showcasing a slimmer figure on the new series.
“You’d never be allowed to say to somebody, “Oh, you look a bit fat””, she said. “And being overweight is unhealthy – it’s actually a bad message to tell someone who is obese that they look “curvy” or “great”,’ she points out”, Cheryl explains. “How often do you hear someone say, “Give that girl a sandwich” or “She needs a good feed”.
Cheryl, 32, stuns on the cover of InStyle and an inside shoot, wearing a number of colourful and wacky designs.

“We didn’t speak for months, a lot of hard work had to be done – but I think it stems from Simon being a really soft-hearted person deep down”.
Cowell will be mentoring the Overs, which include backing singer Anton Stephans, Leeds resident Bupsi, soulful Jennifer Phillips and Irishman Joseph McCaul. Holly had a big voice, the only issue was she had a big mouth to match, both figuratively and, unfortunately, physically. Judges L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul might have already forgotten Cheryl, but those purple pants will live on in their memories – and ours – for years to come…
Looks like the feisty Geordie is well and truly back, then.
Cheryl might not want to announce that – JB will start to think he can do as he likes.
While the Rugby World Cup seems to be grabbing the country’s imagination right now, the 12 season of The X Factor continues on ITV1 tonight (September 27).
However, the insane Stupid Love hitmaker revealed that years of being in the spotlight have taught her not to let comments get to her.
We mean, why can’t we all just get along, hmm?
