Stunt Ends Lawrence Vigouroux Loan, Marko Rog Rumours — Liverpool Transfer News
Liverpool goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux has seen a loan spell at Swindon Town cut short following a weird falling out at the club, while the Reds are once again thought to be courting the services of youngster Marko Rog.
The 21-year-old was originally fined £150 ($328) for turning up late to training, but senior players convinced the club to reduce the penalty.
With his patience exhausted, it was at this point that Cooper dropped Vigouroux from the starting XI entirely and then ordered him to pay the full £150 fine, this time in bank notes.
Swindon boss Cooper is already working with a small squad and is keen to ensure discipline remains high in the group.
He said: “It’s a disciplinary internal matter. It’s come from me and the rest of the players”, Cooper told the Mail.
“It has been dealt with”. He’s played every game for the Robins since, until he was dropped for their clash against Colchester United last Saturday.
He is likely to return to Melwood to train alongside senior Liverpool goalkeepers Simon Mignolet and Adam Bogdan until another loan can be arranged.
The 21-year-old joined Liverpool from Tottenham a year ago.
Asked if there would be further issues, he added: “It won’t, it’s been dealt with”.
Lawrence Vigouroux played against Liverpool in the summer.
