Matt Damon & Jimmy Kimmel Go to Couples Therapy
Kimmel insisted to the therapist, “I tried to get him on the show…We have other guests, who he obviously doesn’t care about…He thinks he’s the only celebrity in California…It’s all about him”, Jimmy said.
“I have a monologue to do, we have a band”, he added.
“I was terrified, it felt like duck tape suffocating me”, Kimmel said referring to when Damon hijacked the show in 2013 and left the host bound and gagged while he interviewed Nicole Kidman, Demi Moore, Reese Witherspoon and Robin Williams.
Damon blagged his way onto Jimmy Kimmel Live by posing as Dr Phil, before engaging in a spot of couples therapy with the presenter.
“See, now things are getting totally turned around, this is what he does, and this is what he does so well”, he said. “He talks the talk and he makes me think I’m crazy”.
The skit ended with Kimmel apologizing to Damon, telling the actor, “I will try harder in the future to get you on the show”.
“He is verbally abusive to me and couches it as ‘truth.’ What am I supposed to do?”
In their “therapy” session, the two poked fun at Damon’s movie We Bought a Zoo as well as the 44-year-old’s looks. “I just wanted to build something with him and share it and nurture it and watch it grow”.
So, could the two say anything nice about the other? Though the host quickly qualified, “Just not tonight because this counseling thing has gone on a long time”.
