3 face charges after Glenwood melee involving principal
Officials believe Whitehouse was seeking retaliation for the shooting that injured Colton McDaniel because he is a friend of McDaniel’s.
Sources indicate three people were injured in the fracas, but it’s unclear whether or not Hutchinson was the gunshot victim.
Twenty-one-year-old Colton McDaniel of Glenwood is charged with assault causing bodily injury, and 42-year-old Hurl Beechum the third of Queen Creek, Arizona is charged with 3 felonies – intimidation with a unsafe weapon, willful injury, and going armed with intent.
Glenwood’s superintendent confirmed the shooting involved their high school principal and his family.
Authorities say a 20-year-old Pacific Junction man found with a sword and gun had called for “vigilante justice” after the neighborhood fight involving the Glenwood Community High School principal.
Cook was not expected to make bail Wednesday and Beechum had not yet been taken into custody.
McDaniel said the racial slur was not directed at Hutchinson.
