Google has two new Nexus phones with Marshmallow and Project Fi
Meanwhile, the Nexus 6P is available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB versions priced at $499, $549 and $649, respectively, Tech 2 reported. Doze automatically puts the Android device to sleep when it is not being used.
As per the report, the Huawei made Nexus 6P device will go on a pre-order in India in next two weeks. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor and has 2GB of RAM, with internal storage options of either 16GB or 32GB.
Apart from the specs mentioned above, it appears that the most important upgrade on Nexus 5X is apparently its fingerprint sensor housed on the back. Google announced the launch of the flagship devices from its popular Nexus range in the U.S. on September 30. The front facing camera however is different, an 8 megapixel sensor instead of the 5 megapixel unit on the Nexus 5X.
While comparing to Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X is quite smaller in size.
The saddest part is that, both the device doesn’t come with either MicroSD card slot or OIS for the camera.
The 5X has a 1,080 pixels display protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and a new 12-megapixel rear camera with 4K resolution video support.
Marshmallow will give expanded powers to Android’s personal assistant, Google Now, so it can use the information people input to the mobile applications.
Google also unveiled a tablet built entirely by the company based on its Android operating system. The company has said that the basic version of the Nexus 5X will cost $379 and the price for the Nexus 6P will be $499. Lead time differs on the kind of handset you choose.
On the software side, Google said it has reduced the number of preloaded apps, and has made uninstalling apps easier as well.
Android Marshmallow has a new feature called as Doze which is created to reduce battery consumption when the phone is not in use. One of the most prominent features that will be coming with the new Android OS 6.0 Marshmallow will be Now On Tap.
Because the Nexus phones are Google’s, they’re the best showcase for Marshmallow, the latest Android operating system, which hasn’t yet been released.
