Mavs’ Cuban apparently rejecting Jordan’s Twitter apology
The Clippers signed Jordan to a four-year, $87 million contract Wednesday after Jordan verbally committed to the Mavericks for $80 million over the same number of seasons on July 1.
Sour grapes says Rivers, who told reporters yesterday that Jordan didn’t owe Cuban a call. Who our staff liked. “So I flew down to Houston”. Jordan should have at least shown some respect and and told Mark Cuban what he was feeling. “I don’t think this is the first time that something like this has happened. I don’t give a f– about etiquette”, Cuban said.
Broussard would ignore Cubans’ request to post what information he had obtained, and instead continued to jab at Cuban and make the billionaire more raging. He didn’t respond.
After about 10 minutes, Cuban wrote, he returned to his hotel. Of course, the topic came up and his response was perfectly uncomfortable. He then made a rookie mistake and looked directly into a superbright light attached to one of the television cameras.
“More importantly, I specifically told [Wesley Matthews] that I would not hold him to his commitment if he wanted to go elsewhere”.
“Through all of Monday we were texting back and forth discussing players available, the amount of cap room we had left”, Cuban wrote.
But Cuban knew the deal was in trouble and that Jordan, who averaged 11.5 points and 15 rebounds last season, might be slipping away. That’s tough for me to swallow, just from the fact that I know how excited Mark was.
“I had the same thoughts past year when I had to go ahead and sign with Dallas and have a chance to leave Houston, but never once in my life would I consider turning on an entire organization and city and going back and backtracking”.
Now the Mavericks are scrambling.
Mark Cuban has now moved his argument from DeAndre Jordan to Chris Broussard of ESPN. After Jordan snubbed Mavs’ offer, Parsons has grown irked of the big man. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported that Parsons said he was “shocked, very disappointed, frustrated, disrespected” about Jordan’s approach to the situation. “He’s still around”.

The Mavericks also announced that they acquired center Zaza Pachulia from the Milwaukee Bucks for a future second-round draft pick.
