‘Blindspot’ wins timeslot for second time in two weeks
Each of the three new Monday broadcast series to launch last week saw double-digit declines in their second outings last night, with NBC’s “Blindspot” dropping the least and continuing to look the best.
According to data received from several sources, “Empire” is the third most watched television show after “The Big Bang Theory” and “NCIS”.
NBC finished first among the four major broadcast networks for the second consecutive Monday, averaging 11.09 million. But Nielsen’s same day ratings only tell part of the story now; networks will get a truer measure of successes and failures when they can factor in time-delayed viewing.
NBC led into “Blindspot” with “The Voice” (3.3, 11.83 million).
ESPN as the week’s most popular cable network, averaging 2.99 million viewers in prime time.
The procedural drama’s last-ever episode earned 1.8 (12.11m) at 9pm on CBS, up 29% from last fall.
Fox placed fourth with a 1.3/4. ABC had 6.9 million, Fox had 4.2 million, Univision had 2.3 million, Telemundo had 1.5 million and the CW and ION Television averaged 1 million.
NBC led into “Blindspot” with “The Voice” (8.0 overnight household rating from 8-10PM).
