Iraq defends intelligence sharing with Russian Federation, Syria, Iran
Iran has sent military advisers to Iraq and worked closely with Shiite militias battling the IS group.
USA officials say that Syrian government pilots are now flying a few of those Russian jets and that Moscow is operating surveillance drones over parts of Syria.
White House officials have repeatedly complained about Russia’s recent military buildup in Syria, a move the Kremlin insists is aimed at defeating ISIS. “This is not yet coordinated”.
“So we must work with these countries to explain to them that the route to a solution does not go through Bashar al-Assad“.

Lavrov, when asked about the objective of the cooperation with Iraq, said it was to “coordinate the efforts against ISIL”, using another acronym for ISIS. Russian officials says the objective of the agreement is to facilitate attacks against the Islamic State.
