Bale in Wales squad for key European qualifiers as Real Madrid forward
Wales, who climbed to an all time high of eighth in the Federation Internationale de Football Association rankings earlier on Thursday, face Bosnia-Herzegovina at the Stadion Bilino Polje, Zenica on Saturday, October 10 before finishing the campaign against Andorra at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday, October 13.
Bale has missed Real Madrid’s last four games since coming off injured in their Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk, and could return to play a part in the Madrid derby on the weekend ahead of the worldwide break.
Not that Coleman is expecting an easy night in Bosnia.
Manager Coleman said of Bale: “If he is fit to meet up with us I will look to play him in Bosnia”.
“I was as flat as anybody else for a few days”.
“It’s all or nothing for Bosnia; they need to beat us if they’re going to get that third spot”.
“We will try and win in Bosnia”.
Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen returns after missing the games against Cyprus and Israel with a hamstring injury, while Bournemouth’s Shaun MacDonald drops out.
“Joe had an hour (in the Capital One Cup) the other week and he’s doing well physically”, Coleman said.
“It’s in our hands and that’s all we’ve ever wanted, that’s all we’ve ever asked for”, said Coleman. We need another performance.
“We need a point from two games and we want to take care of our own business”.
