Nashua, NH woman identified as victim of cold case murder
Police have announced they solved a 1981 cold case in Arizona.
Arizona authorities said Brenda Gerow had been living with John Kalhauser at the time.
Authorities in Tucson say Brenda Gerow, of Nashua, was the woman discovered brutally murdered close to the Pima County Fairgrounds in 1981.
“For the family, it was at first a little bit of disbelief and then a sense of relief”, Detective Mark O’Dell said. For 34 years she was known only as Jane Doe.
She ended up in Arizona with John Kalhauser. Her body was exhumed in 2012 and investigators used her skull to reconstruct her face and identify her. On the left a sketch of the victim from facial reconstruction of her remains.
He now has been identified as a person of interest in the murder of Gerow, according to the Associated Press.
