Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 1 Gets Epic Intro Trailer

Leading and award-winning developer and publisher of digital entertainment Telltale Games, and world-renowned game developer Mojang, today revealed an all-new trailer, cast details, and premiere event for Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series – Episode One: The Order of the Stone.

We’ll see, but you play as a character named Jesse (girl or boy), gallivanting through Minecraft’s Overworld as well as mainstays like the Nether and End, trying “to save your world from oblivion” by finding an organization known as The Order of the Stone.

You already knew that the following actors were providing their voices in the game, but now we know their roles: Dave Fennoy playes Gabriel the Warrior, Corey Feldman is Magnus the Griefer, Grey Griffin stars as Ellegaard the Redstone Engineer, and John Hodgman is Soren the Architect. Additionally, Telltale has released a more complete casting list for the Minecraft adventure. While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, Jesse’s friends discover that something is wrong… something terrible. The episode comes to iOS and Android devices on October 15, while versions of the game are also in development for Wii U and PlayStation Vita.

Each retail copy features Episode 1 and a Season Pass, allowing users to download new episode when available.

Furthermore, if you’ll happen to be in the general vicinity of Los Angeles on October the 12th, Telltale will be holding what they’re dubbing “The World’s Largest Let’s Play” for the game live at the Arclight Cinerama Dome, where the audience will be making those trademark Telltale hard decisions on the fly in person. The trailer shows off a bit more of the story, as well as the heroes, which will be coming in the first episode called Order of the Stone.
