A Cold Front Will Bring Change By Tonight

A direct hit on the Mid-Atlantic, with extreme wind locally in addition to potentially flooding rain, is one possible scenario.

Staten Islanders are waking to fog and the possibility of flooding from thunderstorms and showers over the next several days. Highs: Mid-70s to near 80. We’ll keep a chance for morning showers, mainly in southeastern and eastern Ohio. Cloudy, with a low around 60.

Tomorrow: Cool with showers possible. The track remains somewhat uncertain, and thus, stay tuned for further updates.

Skies will clear up as the day goes on Wednesday.

Wednesday and Thursday should see highs closer to 70.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 90 degrees and a 50 percent chance of rain. There’s a slight chance isolated showers will pop up after 3 p.m.

Thursday is predicted to be mostly sunny with highs around 60, bringing on a partly cloudy night with temperatures returning to around 40.

A blanket of rain and cloudy skies that’s sat over the Cape Fear region since last week is finally moving out just in time for another system to move in.

I do see a few moderation in our temperatures by early next week – perhaps back into the upper 60s (20° Celsius) by Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be a better rain chance Sunday, around 30 percent.
