Troy Tulowitzki singled to extend his hitting streak to 21 games – longest in the majors this season – for the Rockies, who dealt with another weather delay at home.
The Rockies added to their lead in the second against Brigham with a solo home run from Drew Stubbs that was followed by three straight singles and a sacrifice fly from Troy Tulowitzki, giving the Rockies a 4-0 lead.
Rockies’ starter Kyle Kendrick would only throw one inning, himself, forcing the Rox to bring in David Hale – who would’ve been Friday night’s starter – to throw the second inning after one of the rain delays.

John Axford, Colorado’s eighth pitcher, struck out Peterson for his 15th save. Gonzalez said the knee is getting stronger during the season, and unlike past year, he can now utilize it during the leg kick in his swing. He will start Sunday in the final game before the All-Star break. “That field was nearly getting unplayable and they got the game in”.
“I got to be able to sit back and just wait on breaking balls and react with the fastball”, Gonzalez said.
Rain fell throughout the game and only a few fans in the announced crowd of 30,334 stuck around for the end. Brigham allowed four runs on 10 hits in four innings.
