Moto X Sport, Moto G (2015) Specs Leaked By Chilean Telco
Softpedia cited a report from Pisapapeles stating that Entel, the largest carrier in Chile, has reportedly hinted at a possible Moto G release date sometime in August, alongside the long-rumored Moto X 2015 to be named Moto X Sport. Manufacturers like Lenovo (which happens to own Motorola), Xiaomi and others are offering way better specs in the same budget that the Moto G now sells for. As usual, such renders are to be taken with a grain of salt, as they’re just not product shots, but as they seem to concur with previously leaked alleged press renders, there may actually be some truth in them. Therefore, the specifications are already known, however, this new leak corroborates those previously leaked configurations, notes GSM Arena.
Meanwhile, the new Moto X seems to be called the Moto X Sport, which suggests it might be a ruggedised version of the current 2nd Gen Moto X.
As for the processor, the third gen is expected to come with a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.4 GHz. The smartphone is expected to be backed by a modest 1 GB of RAM. Of course, the thickness of the new Moto G could only be a result of a mistake on the part of the render’s creator, so we can’t really know for sure until Motorola officially unveils the device.
The Moto G (2015) will be packed with only 8GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
New 3D renderings of the upcoming Moto G (2015) from Motorola shows the mid-range smartphone will be thicker than most people would like.
Unfortunately, aside from that the renders don’t convey much beyond the obvious; there’ll be dual speakers, both rear- and front-facing cameras, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an Android 5.0 operating system.
The Moto G is typically released in the fall, and there’s still plenty of time for any of this to change, so stay tuned.
