“Geek Charming” Stars, Sarah And Matt, Broke Up After 5 Years

Sarah is single again. Sources revealed to Us Weekly that Matt Prokop and Sarah Hyland separated. However, they had a cordial break up.

A source confirmed US that Sarah, after the split, is doing fine. In fact, it seems that they did not end their relationship. It’s just that they want to remain only as friends and perhaps nothing more than that. “Sarah’s doing fine. It didn’t work out”, stated the source. The insider also added that “She’s young. They decided they would be better off as friends.” Evocatively, the lady appeared at the Emmys on August 25, Monday, without a date.

Sarah Hyland, aged 23, and Matt Prokop, aged 24, met each other while they were auditioning for the film “High School Musical 3: Senior Year”, almost 5 years back in 2008. Later, they were casted together in “Geek Charming” in 2011. It was an Original Movie of Disney Channel. While they were seeing each other, the duo had a line-in relationship and also co-parented a dog, named Barkley Bixby, which is a 4 year old Maltipoo.

In November 2013, the star of Modern Family revealed to US that her best date night with her love was a casual one. The duo dined at a Mexican Restaurant Casa Vega in Los Angeles for their first date.  Prokop told, “I think we both realized it when we were cool with just hanging out in sweatpants together and didn’t have to think about what we were going to do.” He also said, “We were both there for the right reasons. It just felt so natural!”

She gushed that she is not at all a fancy girl and loves things that are really uncomplicated. At that time she also stated that, as long as thoughts are embedded into it that is all what matters to her the most.
