‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Sneak Peek: There’s a New Chief in Town
As shown in the promotional trailer for the episode, Bailey is seen giving out orders, and when Jackson (Jesse Williams) calls her impossible for it, she retorts with a simple “Oh, I know you didn’t say impossible”.
It will be Dr. Arizona Robbins, played by Jessica Capshaw, who will notice the mysterious rash on her back while the two of them were dressing for their shift. “On your back?” Arizona is obviously alarmed seeing the rashes on April’s back.
“The pressure is on as a determined Bailey tackles her first day as Chief; meanwhile, April’s marriage is in jeopardy and she finds herself unable to address her problems; Meredith struggles to juggle all her responsibilities and Amelia works to define her relationship with Owen”. It has to be noted that the latter had left for her three-month medical service for the military in Jordan. As it turns out, Bailey is the first ever female Chief of Surgery at Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital and, we should note, it’s also pointed out that most of the department heads are female – way to go ladies!
The Grey Sloan personnel was then locked up in a bubble to prevent the infection of anyone else inside the establishment. It’s a stupid rash. Her husband Ben Warren (Jason George) is still asleep because it’s still so early in the morning. Bailey rebuttals. “This is my first day running this place”, Bailey says. “There will be no epidemics today!”
Jackson will eventually theorize that his wife is suffering from the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome or MERS disease given the kind of symptoms she is showing plus the fact that she just came from the Middle East.
Bailey, however, is confident that they can get rid of April’s sickness.
