Bulldog born with half a spine will melt your heart
Bonsai the English bulldog will melt your heart.
In the video above by Inside Edition, we get a closer look at Bonsai, the half-dog who was born with multiple deformities including a missing pelvis, half a spine and tiny hind legs that couldn’t support his weight.
Bonsai, who was born to a breeder in Arkansas in April, was officially diagnosed with a human condition called Caudal Regression and Sacrocaudal Dysgenesis, a first in the canine world, according to his YouCaring page.
The Fort Worth rescue organization, Friends of Emma, which has taken over care for Bonsai has set up a fundraiser collecting “Love, prayers, dollars, clicks and shares” for this special-pup.
In June this little trooper underwent a bilateral amputation of both his useless hind-legs and is doing well.
This adorable pooch will need costly medical attention for the rest of his life to manage his internal conditions.
According to his website, Bonsai won’t be able to be fitted with prosthetic legs because he doesn’t have the nerve function to operate them. Fundraising efforts have raised almost $2,500 to help cover his costs.
