Joseph set for England return
It has been announced today (via Sky Sports) that Jonathon Joseph is set to start for England’s clash with Australia in the 2015 Rugby World Cup. “I do concede it is extremely hard to referee”. Invariably that is at 45 degrees, but sometimes that ends up being at 90 degrees.
“It is the easiest thing in the world to do because the loosehead can go where he wants”.
Barritt is perhaps fortunate to have kept a place in the starting XV after following a poor display against Fiji with a rare defensive aberration that allowed Wales to score their decisive late try. Little could lift the gloom of the defeat by Wales more than the news that Jonathan Joseph is highly likely to return in the No 13 shirt for the do-or-die, all-or-nothing return to Twickenham against Australia on Saturday.
Cheika wouldn’t be baited on talk of England’s scrum pushing the boundaries.
But Dwyer believes there have been major gains under the tutelage of Australia’s scrum guru, Argentina’s Mario Ledesma.
“I’m a fan”, said Jones, who quipped after the South Africa victory that if Japan made the quarter-finals he would like to retire and sit in a comfortable studio like TV pundit Woodward. They put it over both the All Blacks and Springboks.
“Robbie Deans before him (Ewen McKenzie held the post in between them before stepping down last October) was a great technical coach but I think Australia lacked a bit of identity. I am sure (England) will have a tactic… they very much bullied us in the scrum before and I think they will try and do it again”.
“I expect it to be a big contest and it is an important part of the game as we all know”.
