Weather prompts Big Ten to change time for Michigan-Maryland

We’ve got to get everybody on the same page and doing the things they need to do so we don’t have those things. With a litany of new starters and instability at quarterback, 2015 had all the makings of a rebuilding year at Maryland. I see the vision, it’s just not clear to those who are blind. “She just dominated everywhere she played tonight and it was only fitting that she found the scrappy goal in the penalty box and buried it – we couldn’t be more pleased with Abby”. Its 46th-ranked rushing attack will face the 99th-ranked run defense of Maryland, while its 10th-ranked rush defense will look to contain the 50th-ranked running game of the Terrapins. Last week, Maryland was blasted, 45-6, at West Virginia.

The Michigan Wolverines (3-1) are coming from a 31-0 win over BYU in Week 4. Then there’s the defense, of course, which through three games is ranked right up there with the best in the country.

Maryland and Under Armour tend to use high-visibility games to roll out new football uniforms or helmet decor, and this Saturday’s contest against Michigan qualifies.

Edsall’s Terrapins are now 2-2 on the season, which doesn’t really look all that bad. The pieces just can’t seem to come together for this offense. There would certainly be more questions-and unlike this week, the coach will be expected to have actual answers. If the Terps show up this weekend and at least put up a fight against Michigan, maybe that means Edsall hasn’t lost this team-and that maybe the season can be saved. Last season, Terps tight ends had six receptions for 41 yards and two touchdowns. Part of this is teams are not going to let Likely beat them over a far from potent offense. The bidding process is about to get underway as the Naval academy and U.S. Military Academy are ready to receive bids for future games.

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Maryland’s last 6 games. If the Michigan running game continues its excellence, the Wolverines could utilize play-action to get a few huge chunks of yardage through the air. The advantage at Byrd Stadium surely is not as great of an advantage as the students provide for the basketball team at Xfinity Center.

Let’s hope, for Maryland’s sake, that Edsall can better interpret the film he watches of Michigan this week.

In truth, Randy Edsall has never been particularly well-liked among Maryland fans. Something has to give and it probably won’t be in the Terps favor.

The Big Ten and both schools made the joint announcement Thursday, saying the switch was made “due to the impending weather impact of Hurricane Joaquin”. Although Joaquin will not become adjacent to the area until Monday, the category 3 hurricane will be bringing inches of rain to the DC suburb for multiple days.
