Rainbow Six: Siege’s closed beta extended for a second time

The beta event was originally going to end on Monday, September 28, but in the wake of overwhelmingly positive feedback, Ubisoft has made a decision to extend its duration until Thursday, October 1. “Rainbow Six: Siege” is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC platforms. You’ll now be able to drive those little remote control cylinders, shoot holes in walls and accidentally kill your teammates until October 4th.

According to the developers, Rainbow Six: Siege Beta ranks amid a few of the biggest betas that the company has ever worked on. Renown is used to unlock operators and attachments, so it’s definitely worth playing during this time if you want to try new things. As of October 1st, Rainbow Six Siege’s beta registration page has been taken down and all remaining access codes are redeemable until October 2nd.

Well, it turns out, Ubisoft needs more time to collect data to ensure that the game will have a stable launch in December.

The game’s matchmaking was broken from the outset, with Ubisoft saying players would only have a “60% chance to start a match successfully”.

What’s more, Ubisoft says it has improved matchmaking success rates, but notes that if you’re still experiencing issues, you should check out this list of workarounds.
