Droid Turbo Will Get Android 5.1 Update Today
Are you using Motorola Droid Turbo?
Unveiled back in October with Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system right out of the box, the DROID Turbo is one of the most popular Motorola smartphones launched at Verizon. Verizon’s Droid line is generally considered to be Verizon’s flagship so we were hoping to see an Android 5.0 Lollipop update for it rather quickly.
“I know this is going to make some people happy”.
Members of the Motorola Feedback Network are already enjoying an early preview of the 5.1 Lollipop build, claims Droid Life.
This afternoon, several Android devices will see an update to the next-to-newest version of the software, Lollipop. However, the dust had barely settled from that announcement when the Schuster Google+ post (and the Motorola support pages) were updated stating that the update was now open to all.
“Thanks for your patience”. We hope you’re as excited as we are about #Lollipop – coming to a #DROIDTurbo near you. Though it has not been declared which software the company is talking about, it’s expected to be Android Lollipop 5.1. “OTA to start on 7/1!” wrote Versi. For those owners, you can always sit tight and wait for the prompt to hit your device advising that the update is ready to install. HTC took out the UltraPixel imaging technology and featured a 20-megapixel Toshiba camera sensor on the smartphone. Users should be seeing the notification for the available update either today or very soon.
Given the improvements in camera technology, the new Moto G is rumored to have a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front one.
