Fart Manufacturer Reportedly Fired Employee for Farting
Louann Clem claims her husband was wrongfully fired by a Trenton pork roll maker for excessive farting she says he couldn’t control.
Soon after his return to work following the surgery, Clem says that the factory’s president Thomas Dolan began to harass the couple after the smell of the man’s farts overtook the smell of the pork rolls, and told the man to start working from home, which-I’m sorry-does not seem so unreasonable? He’s also suffered a few embarrassing side effects, including “extreme gas and uncontrollable diarrhea.”
“When the suit was filed, I din’t know it would go viral”, Clem told The Huffington Post.
In 2013, Clem’s symptoms worsened, which caused “significant disruption in the workplace”, according to the suit.
It says Dolan and the company’s owner, Thomas Greib, harassed Louann Clem, telling her “We have to do something about Rich”, and “We can not run an office and have visitors with an odor in the office”.
Richard was sacked for his fart problem on February 28, 2014, and his wife cut ties with the company the same day due to all the negativity directed toward her husband.
But owner Tom Grieb says neither of them was sacked.
“This can’t go on”, Dolan purportedly said to Luann Clem. Grieb said business was faltering when he asked the Clems to take a pay cut and the pair quit.
“I brought them into the 21st century”, he said proudly. He refused and he just walked out.
Louann Clem is seeking damages from Case Pork Roll that include pain and suffering, compensatory damages and punitive damages.
