New Porsche Cayman Black Edition is All-Black
In here, Porsche added in a Sport Design steering wheel, Black Edition logos on the door-sill guards, an auto-dimming rearview mirrors, and the Porsche emblem embossed on the headrests. Also included are 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels and distinctive bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Lighting System. “The all-in-black special series previously comprised the Boxster and the 911 Carrera with rear-wheel and all-wheel drive as both a coupé and a cabriolet, distinguished by their expanded standard equipment”, says the carmaker in its press release.
The combination of black paintwork and a black partial leather interior emphasises the timeless and sporty elegance of the sports cars.
The Porsche Cayman Black Edition is now available in Porsche’s United Kingdom dealers (and in Ireland) for £45,989 (€82,767).
The Stuttgart firm has a tradition of launching a Black Edition model right before the unveiling of new facelifted versions of its cars.
There may be equipment and cosmetic tweaks for the Black Edition, but elsewhere, it’s business as usual with the 2.7 litre flat six engine producing 271bhp, enough to get to 62mph in 5.7 seconds, and official economy of 33.6mpg. The automaker forecasts its latest Cayman to sell well and that is mainly because of the additional attractive features it carries.
