PlayStation 4 Firmware 3.0 Launching on September 30
This update is focused on creating new ways to connect with friends and players around the world, expanding the social capabilities of the system even further.
Sony has announced the PlayStation 4 system software 3.0 will be available to download starting tomorrow which will add a number features we previously knew about, including broadcasting on YouTube, sharing clips via Twitter, and more.
You can check everything in detail in the video below.
Until Dawn’s success, however, wasn’t a result of a major marketing push from Sony, as the PlayStation manufacturer didn’t advertise the game very much at all.
The Events hub is the other new section, which acts as an activity feed for official broadcasts and events on the part of developers/publishers. This will also include challenges, that you could either spectate, or take part in. There is also an updated community section, which allows players to set up and participate in communities based around shared games and interests. Players can manage their membership, view the free monthly games and premium deals, and see every game they have redeemed on PS4.
You can now use Playstation app to easily log in as a guest to the PS4 system. It will also be possible to share video clips to Twitter directly following this update.
Once you’ve trimmed your video, find the shortened version in the Capture Gallery app. Hover over it and push the share button to bring up the upload options.
Broadcast your gameplay sessions across YouTube. As usual, you can still share videos through Facebook and YouTube as well. To access hit Share Share Settings Screenshot Settings Image Format. Once you power on the console, the unit will automatically guide you through, so make sure to follow all instructions.
However, this is the year that we have seen the most devices and ways to play PlayStation content, with 2016 seeing even more being added. Say you have a group of buddies that you play Destiny with regularly.
“Once you’re added to or create a group, you’ll see the online status for friends, what games they are playing and the option to message or chat in party all in one spot”, the executive continued.
