Google Now on Tap has been voted as the best feature on Android Marshmallow and with it people just have to press the home button on their device when they are within an app and the content on the screen will be searched through.
Apple’s 6s and 6s Plus start at $199 ($F425) and $299 ($F639), respectively, with a two-year service-provider contract.
Google uses its Nexus smartphone range – manufactured by a revolving lineup of Android partners – to show off its latest mobile software.
Google is calling this device its “most premium phone yet”, and rightfully too.
Nvidia is bringing its powerful Maxwell GPU architecture with its Tegra X1 chip to Google’s latest Android device, known as the Pixel C.
USB-C: The Nexus 6P will, arguably, be the first mainstream smartphone to support USB-C.
The Nexus devices are available for pre-order on the Google Store in few countries, including the USA, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Japan. Users now have more control on what content they want to share and when. Nexus 5X sports a 5.2 inch full HD IPS display with 423 ppi and advanced “in-cell touch” technology which helps in faster recognition. The 5.7-inch device is made from aeronautical-grade aluminum, with a screen that occupies 74 percent of the size of the device.
The new device, which comes with an integrated HDMI cable and better Wi-Fi capabilities, looks a little different.
The LG Nexus 5X, on the other hand, comes with a 64-bit Snapdragon 808 processor with a 2 GB RAM unit.
The Nexus 6P is up for grabs from £34.99 on EE.
New apps will be able to make use of the latest features, and Google is pushing developers to make themselves aware of the new opportunities that Marshmallow has to offer.
On the other side, the NFC (Near Field Communication) antenna was said to be wrapped around the back camera in the Nexus 5X, while it is behind the camera cover glasses on the Nexus 6P.
Phones right now running on Android KitKat will get an upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, whereas the phones that have Android Lollipop might not get this upgrade.
Chromecast Audio was unveiled as well.
