‘Scratching noise’ in woman’s ear caused by spider weaving web
Li Meng, a 25-year-old woman from Xiamen, China, kept hearing scratch-like sounds in her inner ear. At first, she thought maybe she is not well or that evil spirits have possessed her. But the case was quite shocking.
Subsequent to going on a trekking excursion, a Chinese lady was paralyzed to figure out what was creating the torment and scratching she felt in her ear.
The violent reactions stopped when anesthesia was applied to the spider, allowing the doctor to tweeze the creature out. She even said, “I even went to a temple to pray but it didn’t help”, according to News. Despite taking painkillers and anti-inflammatory medicines, she continued to suffer.
Dr. Chen Zhao Ye conducted an examination and found a spider living in Li’s ear.
Her doctor believes the most reasonable explanation for how the spider got in her ear is that it crawled in while she was climbing a tree to pick a few fresh fruits during a recent hiking trip.
Chen reportedly faced a lot of difficulties in removing the spider.
According to Fox News, the spider liked it enough in there that it wasn’t willing to give up without a fight; “Each attempt doctors made to remove the spider caused it to react violently”.
She was told by specialists that they had discovered an arachnid in her ear trench – before specialists utilized cured ear drops to steady the insect before extricating it under surgery.
