Jim Carrey ‘shocked and deeply saddened’ by death of former girlfriend

Ever since their father’s death, Zelda and her brothers have continued to cope with his loss in individual ways.

Police believe the 28-year-old killed herself, reporting that pills were found near her body and she left a note referring to her most recent split from the Dumb And Dumber actor.

Following news of Cathriona’s death, Jim issued a statement saying he is “shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona”.

In the tweet, Zelda said she was, “heartbroken to continue to watch sweet, kind souls be consumed by darkness”.

Carrey, 53, was said to have known that White, 28, was a Scientologist when they began dating in 2012, Ortega reports.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office confirmed that White was pronounced dead on the scene after a friend found her unresponsive.

Apart from the foreboding tweet, White’s Twitter and Instagram posts hinted that the young make-up artist was going through troubled times and may have been suffering from depression.

White is reported to have taken her own life for reasons as yet unknown. They are rumored to rekindle their romance sometime May this year and have been seen in various outings in New York City.

The brunette beauty died from a suspected suicide and reportedly left a note.

Cathriona White was truly loved by her family and friends.

On September 25 she posted her final message on her Twitter account, stating that she would be signing off the website.

Ortega continued: “That basically means they think she can handle anything, that’s the way Scientologists think. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt”, Carrey said in a statement sent to E!

In a statement released by the White family, who hail from the rural village of Cappawhite, Cathriona was described as their “shining light” who will be missed “terribly”.

“She wasn’t smiling. She seemed paranoid – she’d also installed security cameras all over the property in the last couple of months”, the neighbor said.
