The Apple Watch is coming to a Target near you
Aside from the couple hundred Apple Stores in the USA, Apple Watch has been sold in a few premium vendors plus Best Buy, T-Mobile, and Sprint… The press release specifically gives a maximum price of $599, hinting that most of the stainless steel models, with their more expensive Watch bands, will not be available.
After initially rolling out just through Apple’s channels, the Apple Watch has slowly been expanding to other retailers.
The Minneapolis-based retailer follows another retailing behemoth, Richfield-based Best Buy, which had a limited Apple Watch rollout in late summer, and has been accelerating since then after reporting robust sales. It will also be possible to purchase the Apple Watch on Target.com from October 18.
Joly said demand for the watch has been strong both in stores and online, and Target is hoping to get a piece of that action in time for the holidays. Select models will be sold in stores, with all models available online.
Apple hasn’t discharged any official deals numbers for the Apple Watch.
