Kashmir Separatists Welcome Sharif’s Statement at UNGA
Reacting to the address of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in the United National General Assembly in response to Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharief’s four point formula for peace with India, Singh said that the Narendra Modi government failed to tell the global community about illegal aggression by Pakistan and its continued occupation of 32,000 sq miles of Indian territory since August 13, 1947 inspite of 1948 UN resolution.
Sharif said he was proposing a new four-point peace initiative with India, starting with measures that are the simplest to implement. I would like to respond.
“India’s insistence on limiting the talks to a one-level agenda proves that it’s neither nor critical in partaking in a real dialogue“. He, however, added that anti-Pakistan propaganda must come to an end.
He went on to say that Pakistan holds brotherly ties with Afghanistan.
One of the terrorists was caught alive during attack on BSF convoy in Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. “Pakistani Prime Minister has done commendable job by reminding the UNO of its duties and responsibilities toward resolving Kashmir“, veteran Hurriyat leader Syed AliGeelani said. Sharif, now on a visit to the United Kingdom, said this while addressing an interactive session at the worldwide Institute for Strategic Studies in London on Thursday.
General Raheel has also made it clear that Pakistan was against proxies and would not allow them to operate from its soil, rejecting Afghan president’s claim in which he had linked the country with terrorists’ sanctuaries and support networks.
To another question, she said Nawaz rightly stated in his speech that South Asia had a history of missed opportunities which, she added, resulted in poverty and illiteracy in the region, with both India and Pakistan paying the cost of “opportunity lost”.
Earlier, speaking at a dinner hosted by Pakistan’s High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas on Wednesday, he said Pakistan wanted good neighbourly relations with India “but with dignity and honour”. She also deplored Pakistan’s inaction against terrorists who masterminded the Mumbai attacks in 2008. He said that the border management and greater worldwide cooperation is must for regional peace.
The Pakistani official stated Sharif’s peace initiative was according to his imaginative and prescient of a pleasant neighbourhood which he enunciated instantly after taking workplace two years in the past.
“We must ask ourselves if we have the political will to craft alternatives to conflict and to pursue them with commitment and single-minded dedication”, she said.
