Two people shot dead at NSW Police headquarters in western Sydney
The gunman, reportedly clad in black, approached the Parramatta-based building and fatally shot the IT worker at “point-blank range”, according to Sky News. “A critical incident team will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident”.
Mr Turnbull has labelled the shooting outside the NSW Police headquarters in Parramatta as “an act of terrorism”.

Aerial images from Channel Seven news showed what appeared to be two bodies covered in white sheets outside the headquarters of New South Wales police.
Scipione said it was a “brutal crime” and that the gunman clearly meant to engage police in a shoot out, adding that the case may have been one of “suicide by cop”.

Several children were also stuck inside a nearby daycare centre with anxious parents forced to congregate outside.
Another witness who lives in an apartment opposite police headquarters said he heard the shooting.
“This man was simply leaving work this afternoon, and he was gunned down”.
“I heard two gunshots, and a few of our employees went outside”, Edwin said.
