Coach Melissa: Well, he certainly can. Weeden will have to open it up if the Cowboys are to have any chance moving forward. The No. 4 Horned Frogs needed a tipped pass and catch to stay undefeated last week against Texas Tech. That’s just simply not the case anymore. Texas has forced ten turnovers and has four of their own. Granted, we played stout defense and passed a little bit, but we relied heavily on the run game. The game was anything but a blowout, going into triple overtime. Or at the very least, can he ensure that the top 25 classes UT will likely continue to sign live up to their full potential?
This is a type of seasons when TCU coach Gary Patterson has loads of reasons to shake his head while continually having to plug in several players on defense to do sufficient to back a high-powered offense.
Still, this Texas team has a few fight left in it.
The first thing to look for is a more energized and prepared team.
The Texas Longhorns (1-3) are coming from a 30-27 loss to the Oklahoma State in Week 4.
