Everton team news: Roberto Martinez provides an update on John Stones and
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has hailed the recent form of Everton’s John Stones and sees him as one of the best centre-backs in the league right now, as per Sky Sports.
The combined total of the fees for Liverpool’s signings this summer came to around £80million, roughly four times that of Everton’s.
“I think it’s too early to tell now”.

Stoke’s Marc Wilson has a calf injury and while he’s still in O’Neill’s squad, he is staying back at his club for assessment and looks a major doubt for the two games. “I think we all accept that”.
Coleman has been absent for the last three weeks after limping off in the 77th minute of Everton’s 3-1 win against Chelsea but he will be afforded every possible chance of proving his fitness.

Martinez revealed the pair are nearing a return but kept his cards close to his chest when asked if they will play against Liverpool. “They’re progressing well and in the next two sessions we’ll get a clear idea”.
Coleman faced another late fitness test due to his hamstring, and he apparently is still not fit enough to give it a go.
“We’re probably going to leave it until the day of the game”.
