Trump would send back Syrian refugees if he’s elected president
The reason? Trump said he’s anxious a few of the refugees – who have been fleeing Syria after years of civil war – could be members of the terrorist organization the Islamic State, or ISIS, in disguise.
Trump didn’t mince words at a campaign rally in Keene, New Hampshire, when discussing his GOP competitors.
Washington and its allies blame Assad for the mayhem in Syria, where four years of bloodshed have killed more than 240,000 people, and fueled a massive outflow of desperate refugees. The United States government has pledged to take in at least 10,000 Syrian refugees over the coming year. Earlier this month, the billionaire businessman told Fox News the United States should take in more refugees.
Trump spoke of rumors that the US wants to take in 200,000 Syrians, and warned that they “could be ISIS”, however.
A few 66 percent of Republican or Republican-leaning voters say that new ideas and a different approach is what they are looking for in a candidate, according to a Pew Research Center poll released Friday. “I don’t know what it is, but it could be possible”, Trump said.
With his trademark showmanship, Trump vowed to remove families making less than $50,000 from the tax rolls and allow them to send the IRS a single-page form declaring “I win!” “A 200,000-man army, maybe”, he added. “That could be possible”. But if I win, they’re going back.
The UN Refugee Agency says there are more than 4 million Syrian refugees who have fled murder and rape by Islamist fighters. “We’re taking care of the whole world“. They argue the US doesn’t have the right security procedures in place to adequately vet refugees and determine if they pose a security risk.
In June, two-thirds of Republicans said they couldn’t support Trump, though that number has dropped a few.
He attributed President Barack Obama for the disaster and included: “It Is living in nightmare in Syria”.
Trump further lived up to his unfiltered reputation when he told the crowd that Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio’s friendship during this election cycle is “political bull****”.
“I’ve watched the migration and numerous people in the migration are men – able-bodied, very strong young men…”
