Indrani Mukerjea Complains of Uneasiness, Admitted to Mumbais JJ Hospital

There was speculation that Indrani was under depression and had attempted suicide by consuming a few pills.
Principal secretary of the prison department Satbir Singh said an inquiry has been ordered to check if there were any lapses on the part of prison authorities. The dean has also said that Indrani likely overdosed on anti-epilepsy medication but is stable for now.
“She was on anti-depressants and the news of her mother’s death may have depressed her further”. He added that they have taken a sample of her stomach wash and are analysing it to find out what she had consumed. According to reports the lady was taken to JJ Hospital after complaining of uneasiness. On 25 August, she was arrested for her alleged involvement in the April 2012 murder of Sheena Bora.
The CBI filed the case under various sections of Indian Penal Code including criminal conspiracy, murder, abduction, destruction of evidence, causing hurt by giving poison and Arms Act.
The CBI on September 30, had registered a case against Sanjeev, Indrani, and the driver.
