Odell Beckham: Sets receiving record in win
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr is known for his incredible one-handed catches that seem to defy physics and logic.
Experience in a pro-style offense at LSU combined with elite ball-tracking skills and explosiveness after the catch created a flawless storm for Beckham to thrive right away in the NFL. It has the looks of actually being a “down” stat line for the ultra-talented Beckham.
An 8-yard catch in the first quarter gave Beckham 1,598 receiving yards in his first 16 games, the most by any player in league history. He entered needing just 20 yards to break the record, which Groman set during 1960-61 with 1,593 yards.
Since Beckham missed the first four games of his career with a hamstring injury, his red-hot run since Week 5 of last season has only been the equivalent of one whole season.
And then there was this play, Mario Williams throwing down Rashad Jennings.
Part of the routine is watching Beckham do his pregame routine.
But it’ll be hard for Beckham to top however you want to describe this Week 3 touchdown.
