Clay Matthews mocks Colin Kaepernick: ‘You ain’t Russell Wilson, bro’
Basically, Wilson was pretty good for Seattle in the 10-point loss.
On Sunday, the best that could be said for Kaepernick’s performance against the Packers was that it wasn’t as bad as last week’s utter debacle at Arizona. He was kissing off the 49ers as a Packers nemesis and he was also kissing off all critics of the Packers defense, one that has been maligned in part because it was embarrassed repeatedly by Kaepernick and the 49ers.
In the third quarter of this one, Kaepernick dropped back and he was met in the backfield by Mr. Matthews.
It looks like it’s Clay Matthews, who literally took his mouthpiece out just a split second before the comment was made.
Matthews said after the game that the celebration was all in fun. You ain’t Colin Kaepernick, bro…but when you sack him, I suppose you’re entitled to a little fun.
Well, that used to be Kaepernick’s oft-used celebratory move, but he hasn’t had many occasions to plant pecks on his muscle-bound arms these days.
As things turned out, Matthews was right: Kaepernick wasn’t anywhere near as good as Russell Wilson. Colin Kaepernick had another lackluster outing, completing exclusively 13 out of 25 makes an attempt for 160 yards, one interception, & no touchdowns.
