The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes has region-specific online co-op
This new video for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes gives you an overview of the game thanks to Princess “Tell-All”. They say: “You can only play with people on the same region“.
Story-wise, “The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes” will have 32 stages all in all, which players can explore on their own via the story campaign, along with two Doppels or AI-controlled companions. They just needs to purchase the game to explore additional game features.
Nintendo’s clearly keen to get across the fun possiblities of its multiplayer action, where a maximum of three players can team up to solve puzzles, traverse dungeons, and defeat bosses. Wii U and the 3DS contain this feature, whereas competing consoles, such as the Xbox and PlayStation, have already striped off the region lock attribute. The others will be left with no artificial intelligence, and, as Pocket Gamer implies, it can be slow. For those looking forward to playing Tri Force Heroes with their friends overseas, however, there’s a few disappointing news: you’ll only be able to play the online co-op mode with players in the same region. Because of that, it makes sense that there is a region lock for online players.
