But as rumors spread that the account may have been hacked and the news may have been fake, family confirmed the news on Saturday. “She wrote, “[Thursday] at 7:08PM Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes. “This has come as a shock to all of us”, the Brantleys captioned the image. “Words can not describe how much we will miss him”.
The family also posted a video (below) of Caleb from the day before he died speaking to his future self. “And we ask for continued love and support as we move through the grieving process”, the statement read.
The announcement of Caleb’s death was also confirmed by Maker Studios, a Disney-owned company that helped to manage the family’s channel.
Many fans found the news of Caleb Logan’s death hard to take, and a few even believed that the message may have been incorrect or a hoax.
“We are heartbroken at the tragic loss of Caleb from Bratayley, a beloved member of the Maker family”, the company wrote.
According to U.S., Caleb is survived by his sisters Annie, 10, Hayley, 7, his mother, Katie, and his father, Billy. The sunny teenager was a member of the Bratayley clan whose home videos earned them a massive following on their channel.
