Ellie Goulding Fires Back At Lip-Syncing Accusations
In a video of the performance, Goulding’s melodic voice is heard but the singer’s microphone is kept down near her legs for nearly a full minute.
The audio was cut, and shortly after, she began performing Love Me Like You Do.
After tweeting that she always gives 100 percent even when “people don’t give much back”, she blamed the glitchy performance on her sound man. My fans know that. “Truth be told I’ve been unwell the past week and I could do with a long spell chill but I was determined to give everything for Oz (sic) today”.
As sonic chaos ensues as per the clip above, the talented singer looks back at her band in confusion, the stadium audience growing more and more agitated by the moment.
AAP has contacted Goulding’s representatives for comment.
But was she lip-syncing?

Taking the stage in front of 100,000 football goers, the English songstress, 28, appeared to struggle with coordinating the opening lines of her song, Love Me Like You Do, with the backing music. “This is a very common practice for performances in situations such as the Grand Final”, the statement reads.
A Melbourne photographer has accused United Kingdom singer Ellie Goulding of using a picture from her Instagram account and not giving her credit.
Goulding’s performance was slammed online as well as in the media.
