Will Smith To Make First Music Comeback In Over A Decade
He explains his feeling about getting back to the booth and revealed that his son, Jaden Smith, has giving him a few tips when it comes to making music in 2015.
The “Focus” star and the group recently completed shooting on a new music video, which will be released in the near future.
Will Smith returned to rapping last week, with his verse on the remix of Bomba Estério “Fiesta.”
The song was posted to YouTube over the weekend and it’s already raked up over 1,200,000 listens – obviously there’s a few fans who are very, very excited about his return to music.
“I’m really ready, man”, he continues. Speaking of travel: “I’m pretty certain I’m going on tour”, Smith told Lowe.
According to Mejia, Smith “fell in love” with the mash of gaitas, African sounds and electronics that identify the Colombian band and “he chose it out of several” as his springboard back into song.

There’s no word yet as to when Smith will release his next full-length album, but he’s working on it. He said, “I’m definitely interested in pushing the envelope of spittin’-how far can you go?” “I’m just trying to still find that voice; I have so many things that I wanna say”.
Smith doesn’t sound like he’s lost a year, spitting a steady flow in both English and Spanish on “Fiesta“.
On the film front, Smith confirmed his participation in Bad Boys 3, which could surface in the next 12 to 16 months.
