Man accidentally sets room on fire during live stream
The man from Japan was sitting in front of his computer during a live feed as he was playing with a packet of oil matches.
A Japanese man has reportedly burned down his home while streaming a game live over the net.
After using lighter fluid to refuel the lighter, he wipes away excess fluid with tissues and places it into a plastic bag beside him. Eventually, he winds up lighting up an entire matchbook instead. That portion of the video starts at about 4 minutes and 52 seconds in.
Once the man notices the fire, he brings the bag into the corner and attempts to smother it with cardboard boxes – which are really just more kindling for the fire.
The man then leaves the room and returns with a small bowl of water that he throws on the flame – with little impact.
As the fire grows, the man tries to cover it with a dry blanket.
But nothing could contain the increasing flames that were soon out of control and had leaped up the wall of his home and filled the room with smoke.
“Later on the messages are stuff like: “How did this even happen” and “Why aren’t you calling 119”.
It is not believed the streamer or anyone else was harmed, with one poster describing the incident in several replies as “minor”.
