Kansas City Royals Enter the Playoffs with a Strong Offense
Not many thought the Royals would be the team they were a season ago, and honestly – They were right.
With the best record in the American League, they are the favorites this postseason.
Major League Baseball has set the game times for the first couple of games in the division series.
The team has also gotten great contributions from third baseman Mike Moustakas (.284, 22 HR, 82 RBI) and second baseman Ben Zobrist (.284, 7 HR, 23 RBI), who they acquired at the trade deadline. They were the team to beat in the American League all season long and it would have sucked for them to have home field advantage stripped away from them in the last week of the season. They had determined competition from the Toronto Blue Jays. “The KC Royals are the hottest thing in town”.
Kansas City Royals Eric Hosmer, right, celebrates with Alcides Escobar after he scored on a double by Ben Zobrist to break the tie in the eighth inning of a baseball game, Friday, October 2, 2015, in Minneapolis. I have no doubt that Kansas City Royals fans will show up and be loud during the postseason.
Earlier, we caught up with fans watching the Royals game against the Minnesota Twins.
“I’d love to see the Yankees just because of the rivalry”. The Blue Jays fell two games short of Kansas City.
Watch the Royals rally on FOX 4 beginning at 11:45 a.m. If you have to leave your television set, don’t worry we’re continuing to stream it for you.
