Rosie O’Donnell ‘heartbroken’ after daughter Chelsea slams her in new interview
Chelsea said she finds her mother’s on-camera personality to be nothing like the person who she’s lived with the past 18 years.
Opening up about her troubled relationship with Rosie, the teenager told the Daily Mail she left home when her adopted mum told her to.
And when cops brought her back, O’Donnell “had two of my bags packed with clothes”. Two weeks before her birthday, Chelsea claims she was approached by Rosie, the ensuing argument prompting the 53-year-old star to kick her out of the house.

“I wouldn’t say I’m mentally ill”, Chelsea continued, telling the Daily Mail that she’s been struggling with depression and anxiety since age 12.
Even after being friendly around other people in public, Chelsea insists that at home, O’Donnell “would either just be in her room, not engaging with us, or watching documentaries”.
According to the report, Chelsea says her mother likes to “lock herself away in an “arts and crafts house” to paint, blast Madonna on the stereo and smoke weed”. “It’s like two different people”.
Chelsea was picked up by “nice” police at the New Jersey home of her boyfriend Steven Sheerer and returned to Rosie’s house, but claims there wasn’t a happy reunion waiting for her.
“Chelsea, like millions of people, lives with mental illness. This was hours before she told me to leave”.
She adds, “She has this public persona; she will put this big smile on her face and try to be amusing”.
