Orphaned Raccoon Befriends Two Dogs… And Thinks She’s One of Them
“Raising her was (and still is) a full-time job”, Laura Young, who has cared for the raccoon since she was one month old, told The Dodo. After all, she lives all the way in the Bahamas with her dog siblings, Toffee and Oreo. “She instantly bonded with us and our two rescue dogs and follows me and our two dogs everywhere we go”, Young said. And Pumpkin looks like she is very pally with them.
This adorbz raccoon thinks he’s a dog, and he acts like one too, and we are OBSESSED with him!! Part of Pumpkin’s day is spent playing with Kemp’s two rescue dogs, who have taken as much a liking to their adopted sister as she has them.
They say that Pumpkin has had all her vaccines and has been spayed.
Just ask the good people of Toronto, a city that’s has beefed up the quality of its green bins to make them raccoon proof. But they want everyone know that raccoons aren’t pets and should be left alone in their natural habitats.
“They are wild animals, so they are quite moody”. Yet since Pumpkin didn’t get the chance at first, they are making sure she has the best life possible. But just follow along with Pumpkin’s adventures and it’ll be sort of like you own a pet raccoon.
