Microsoft unveils wearable holograms in HoloLens, taking applications for
Now, during the ongoing #Windows10devicese press event, Microsoft brought forth another demonstration of its device, this time with a new mixed reality gaming experience called Project Xray.
In an event largely anticipated for Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s launch of its new Lumia Smartphones, the company showed the world its work on augmented reality. Back in July, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said the HoloLens’ first iteration will be “more about developers and enterprise scenarios” than games.
Microsoft didn’t give us anything new on the Xbox front during their #Windows10Devices presentation today, just the usual preview of the upcoming holiday season Xbox One games line up, bundles, backwards compatibility, and new dashboard. Each application is limited to two HoloLens devices, and all applicants must be a developer in the United States or Canada and be a Windows Insider. There is no doubt that mixed reality of games can offer users a few interesting experiences.
The Hololens development kit arrives during the 1st quarter of 2016 for $3000. “It was a shooter in the sense that robots came out of the wall, broke through the wall and using my head as the targeting, I could hold the controller and fire at them…”
Just like META with their augmented reality headset and as previously stated by Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, the first HoloLens headset is a developer-oriented unit that Microsoft is calling the “HoloLens Development Edition”. The enemies interact with the environment and each other making each game unique to your play space.
The Surface hasn’t been in India right from the start and one doesn’t know whether this situation will change, but it was a product that had everyone the most excited, along with the Surface Book.
Project Xray also has a human-sized robot spider in it, fully willing and ready to take out the HoloLens wearer.
