The PlayStation 4 Is Getting a Price Cut in North America
Sony has announced that it will cut the price of the PlayStation 4 in the U.S.by $50, with the next-gen console now available for $349.99, matching the price of Microsoft’s Xbox One console.
That being said, Destiny: The Taken King is a great game and it’s actually not a bad suggestion on PlayStation’s part.
To make sure you avoid a few surprise bills for a game you don’t want, you can disable the feature by going to your PS4’s settings and select “Automatic Downloads”.
That wizard may have come from the moon, but that copy of Destiny that just popped up on your PS4 is just an advert.
According to Polygon, this is happening as a result of the PS4’s ability to deliver “personalized, curated content” through automatic downloads. Many gamers on Twitter considered the act as an outright invasion of privacy.
Imagine the reaction if that weren’t the case: say, if Sony started bombing your system with Blu-ray-sized full game whoppers.
There are reports coming from numerous news sites which state that a few PlayStation 4 owners are finding that their consoles are automatically downloading the game. If a company like Sony began stealth-pushing anything like that out, players would riot, and understandably.
Lets see how Sony responds in the near future.
Numerous PlayStation 4 users reported this week that Bungie’s Destiny appeared in their game library, even though they didn’t put it there.
