Radamel Falcao expects Chelsea to end run of poor results
Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing their woes over a pint and their main course of discussion is the embarrassment caused by Radamel Falcao.
The Blues have endured a disastrous opening few weeks of the new campaign and suffered their fifth defeat of the season as they slumped to a 3-1 loss to Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Falcao, who is on loan at Stamford Bridge from Monaco for the season, has made just one start and featured six times off the bench.
But the 29-year-old believes Mourinho’s side can bounce back to winning ways after the worldwide break.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of his national team’s preparation ahead of its first matches for Russian Federation 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Falcao had words of praise and appreciation towards his coach at Chelsea. “He is ambitious and a victor”, said Falcao.
“Growing up, every day I feel better”, Colombian global Falcao said on Monday.
As for his side’s clash against Peru on Thursday, Ospina said Colombia were wary. They are excellent players with a mix of experience and youth.
Mourinho even questioned a group of players for their performances earlier in the season, while he is now in the third season of his second spell in west London. The Colombian forward only scored four goals for the Red Devils last term, and had a very small impact as they finished fourth.
