Justin Bieber Disses One Direction, Again!

Bieber’s triumphant return began with the release of his single “What Do You Mean?” followed by an emotional performance at the 2015 MTV VMA’s. Given that it’s the boys’ last album (only for a while, supposedly) he’s going to have a few pretty tough competition getting his Beliebers to outdo the Directioners who will no doubt be out in force to make the boys win the album race. But for Bieber he thinks One D planned their release date to coincide with his purposely.

One host then jokingly asked the singer if he and One Direction got together over a drink and made a decision to release their album on the same day for a laugh. It nearly sounds as if he’s saying he’s the bigger star, so One Direction is trying to ride his coattails to the top of the charts. “I’m excited to see what happens”, Bieber eventually conceded. So, that’s probably why they did it. I think it was strategy on their part because my release date was first.

Justin Bieber recently revealed his theory about One Direction and why they chose to release their forthcoming album on the same date (Nov. 13) as his own. “So, that’s probably why they did it”, he says during an interview on New Zealand radio station The Edge.

A decision was taken, a choice was made, and variables such as Adele releasing 25, her third anticipated album, on November 20 were considered.
