Steve Jobs’ Widow Laurene Powell-Jobs Reportedly Tried to Block Aaron Sorkin’s
First there was 28 Days Later (2002), then there was 28 Weeks Later (2007), so when are we getting 28 Months Later?
The 38-year-old star credits director Danny Boyle for urging him to take the part.
“I’ve got no problem [with that]”, he told Indiewire while promoting his new film, Steve Jobs. But I think Sorkin and I both expected Noah to call Sorkin himself a troubled genius-and to ask, maybe, when Sorkin would write his own auto-biopic.
The infection will eventually spread in 28 Months Later, a sequel that’s been in the works for quite a few time now. “It’s just like on [‘Steve Jobs”].
“I couldn’t get past Steve’s treatment of his daughter, and I didn’t know how we were going to celebrate the iPhone and the iPod when this was going on”, Sorkin said.
“About two years ago, Danny started collaborating on the potential to make Trainspotting 2, another sequel”, he recalled.
“A$3 weird idea popped into my head”.
“But, I apologized right away anyway because I realized it is a building full of people who can hack into my hard drive and do anything they want”, Sorkin continued, acknowledging his involvement in documents leaked during the Sony hack. “So he’s gone off and is working on it”.
There is one caveat to that reunion, though; as detailed in his interview with The Playlist, the Steve Jobs helmer noted that he would only sign on for the follow-up if he resonated with the script.
What this could all mean is very exciting indeed, so please offer up any and all conjecture you might have in the comment box below.
